Anthropic released Claude Fable 5, its most powerful public model, but the Trump administration banned its use by foreign nationals. Anthropic disabled the model to comply, claiming the government sought to jailbreak it. Anthropic stated that OpenAI's GPT 5.5 could perform similar tasks without a bypass.
