Perplexity launches SPACE sandbox for AI agents

Perplexity AI introduced SPACE, a sandbox platform for its Computer AI agent. SPACE uses AWS Firecracker microVMs to isolate sessions with pause, resume, and forking. Credentials stay in user-managed systems, not the sandbox. Over the past week, SPACE supported 1.25 million sandbox creations and 11.9 million reconnects.
