Leisure guilt, defined as unease about non-productive time, appeared during 14 percent of recorded leisure occasions in a Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin study by Hyunjin Koo and colleagues. Research links the pattern to conditional parental regard and contingent self-worth, where achievement becomes the price of acceptance.
