Hello Robot released the fourth iteration of its home assistance robot Stretch. The robot features a telescoping arm with pinchers and a heavy omnidirectional wheeled base. When batteries deplete, lights around its eyes glow, prompting a joking remark about it looking angry. The company developed Stretch to operate in real homes with real people, not in labs. This addresses a lack of real-world training data and builds operational experience under real-world conditions.
