Google DeepMind released the Nano Banana 2 Lite model, part of the Gemini 3.1 family, for AI image generation. It generates images in about 4 seconds in low-thinking mode, compared to 20 seconds for the standard Nano Banana. API costs average $0.034 per 1,000 images, and outputs include SynthID watermarks.
Anthropic announced Claude Science, an AI workbench for life science research that integrates with the NVIDIA BioNeMo Agent Toolkit. The toolkit provides accelerated models including Evo 2, Boltz-2, and OpenFold3, plus NVIDIA NIM microservices.
