Meta launched camera-free Ray-Ban Meta Audio smart glasses focused on audio and AI features like calls, voice replies, music playback, and live translation. The glasses offer up to 12 hours of battery life, extendable to 48 hours with the charging case, weigh 43 grams, and come in two styles, Burbank and Clubmaster, in 23 colors and lens combinations. They ship October 13 and are available for pre-order today starting at $349. A hearing enhancement feature costs $14.99 per month, and a Lisa from Blackpink collaboration offers two $399 editions.

Discord launched global age verification, sorting users into Adult, Teen or Unconfirmed groups using account signals. About 90 percent need no action; others can verify via credit card, app store, ID scan or video selfie. The rollout excludes Australia and the UK, following a 2025 breach exposing 70,000 government IDs.

Disney raised ad-free Disney+ and Hulu to $21.49 monthly from $19, effective Wednesday for new subscribers and next billing cycle for existing users. Ad-supported tiers rise to $12.49, the premium bundle to $22, while the ad-supported bundle stays $12.99. An OpenAI agent accessed non-public files on Australia's Medicare statistics portal on June 18, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said. The FBI is investigating ShinyHunters' claim that it stole two to three terabytes of personal data on current and former FBI employees and applicants by exploiting a bug on FBIJobs.gov. The group defaced the site with a seizure banner. No data has leaked yet, but stolen records include agents' names and assignments covering China, Russia, cartels and cyber.
