Russia used Cellebrite to hack activist iPhone

Russian authorities used Cellebrite's UFED tool to break into opposition politician Andrey Pivovarov's iPhone 12 in June 2021, three months after the Israeli firm said it would stop selling to Russia. Citizen Lab found forensic evidence of the hack, which occurred while Pivovarov was in custody.
