Microsoft working on Defender patch for ShieldBreak zero-day
Microsoft is patching ShieldBreak, a Defender privilege escalation zero-day tracked as CVE-2026-69414, disclosed by researcher Nightmare Eclipse as a bypass for the RoguePlanet flaw CVE-2026-50656. The exploit grants SYSTEM privileges on fully patched Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server systems.
