KARR alarm flaw exposes 2 million vehicles
UC San Diego researchers found a Bluetooth vulnerability in KARR Security Systems aftermarket alarms, installed in over 2 million US vehicles by dealers often without owner knowledge. The flaw allows hackers to unlock doors, disable ignition, or track cars. Acrisure Protection Group released a firmware patch 18 months after being notified.
