A California federal grand jury indicted Russian national Searzhudin Tamirlanovich Aktulaev for phishing attacks that infected over 80,000 freelancers with TVRAT and DarkVNC malware between June 2016 and November 2017. Aktulaev was arrested in Cyprus and extradited to the United States, where he faces charges including conspiracy and aggravated identity theft.
