Apple is skipping the M6 Pro and M6 Max chips, moving directly to M7 for high-end Macs. A base M6 chip will ship this fall in an entry-level MacBook Pro. The M7 chip, focused on on-device AI, could arrive as early as the first half of next year. The first OLED MacBook Ultra will use M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
