Google to Launch AI Satellite on Falcon 9

Google will launch a refrigerator-sized satellite carrying four Tensor Processing Units on a SpaceX Falcon 9 on October 1, testing whether AI chips can survive radiation and thermal extremes in low Earth orbit. The mission is the first step in Project Suncatcher, which aims to put AI data centers in orbit. Google plans two more satellites next year.
