DoorDash Opens Waitlist for AI Text Ordering

DoorDash opened a US waitlist for an AI assistant that takes food orders through Apple Messages, matching phone numbers to accounts and charging saved cards. It builds on Ask DoorDash, launched in the app in June. Android support is coming soon. Bloomberg testing found prices differing from the app, a legal issue in Europe under the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive.
