India is recalibrating its Rs 10,372-crore IndiaAI Mission after GPU and memory prices more than doubled since its March 2024 launch. The programme has about 30,000 GPUs against a 45,000 commitment, and some cloud providers cannot deliver pledged capacity. The ministry is issuing fresh bids and will buy 3,000 GPUs through C-DAC to own compute directly.
