Waymo Claims 95% Fewer Serious Crashes

Waymo analyzed 271 million driverless miles across five US cities through June, finding its robotaxis were involved in 95 percent fewer serious-injury crashes and 82 percent fewer minor-injury crashes than human drivers. The company also reported 93 percent fewer pedestrian crashes and 841 fewer injury-causing crashes overall, though it released video of near-misses.
