Waymo Claims 82% Fewer Injury Crashes

Waymo says its robotaxis had 82 percent fewer injury-causing crashes and 95 percent fewer serious-injury crashes than human drivers across 271 million driverless miles in five US cities through June. The company reported 841 fewer injury crashes overall and 93 percent fewer pedestrian crashes, while releasing near-miss video as it pushes regulators in New York and Boston to allow expansion.
