VW EV Orders Overtake Petrol in Germany

Volkswagen now takes more electric car orders than petrol and diesel in Germany, its largest market. Four budget models built in Spain have drawn about 100,000 orders. VW cancelled extra shifts at Wolfsburg but added them at Emden and Zwickau, two plants recently discussed for closure, as combustion demand falls.
