Ofqual's July survey of 3,775 English secondary teachers found 27 percent of schools reported a cyber incident in 2025/26, down from 29 percent a year earlier and 34 percent in 2023/24. Sixty-six percent recovered immediately, up from 55 percent. Phishing was most common; ransomware hit 2 percent. Teachers disagreed on who owns security.
