Maynooth Researcher Builds Reusable DNA Computer

Dr Abeer Eshra of Maynooth University helped build a 'first of its kind' DNA computer that uses competing DNA strands to compute. The team demonstrated 10 programs and over 700 computations, including adding two 25-bit numbers, with small calculations finishing in under a minute. The system can be reset and reused, a step toward molecular computing.
