High-Mileage EVs Prove More Durable Than Gas Cars

A UK study of 47.4 million MOT records found EVs are about 25 percent less likely to fail inspections than gasoline cars between 90,000 and 120,000 miles. Beyond 120,000 miles, 16 percent of EVs failed versus 23.5 percent of gas vehicles. The findings suggest used EV durability concerns may be overstated, though battery health was not assessed.
