Rivian R3 to Underprice R2, R4 Planned

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe says the upcoming R3 compact SUV will be priced materially lower than the R2, which starts at $45,000. He also confirmed plans for an even cheaper R4. The R3 will offer two battery packs and single, dual, or tri-motor setups, with over 300 miles of range. Scaringe supports tariffs to protect US automakers from Chinese competition.
