Illinois Governor Signs 0.2% Crypto Tax Law

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker signed a law imposing a 0.2% tax on digital asset services like exchange and custody. The Crypto Council for Innovation called it the most punitive digital asset tax in the country. The tax takes effect January 1 and applies to firms with at least $100,000 in gross receipts.
