Microsoft discovers new lightweight backdoor that steals cryptocurrency

Microsoft discovered Crypto Clipper, a self-propagating worm that spreads via USB drives to steal cryptocurrency credentials. The malware monitors clipboard contents for wallet addresses or seed phrases, takes five screenshots over 10 seconds, and exfiltrates data through a Tor-based SOCKS5 proxy to attacker-controlled servers.
