Paradigm Shift published usbliter8, an unpatchable BootROM exploit for Apple's A12 and A13 chips. It leverages a hardware bug in the USB controller to execute arbitrary code during startup. The Secure Enclave remains unaffected, keeping passcodes and encrypted data secure. A14 and later chips are not vulnerable.
