Security firm Paradigm Shift published usbliter8, an unpatchable SecureROM exploit for Apple's A12 and A13 chips. The vulnerability affects iPhone XS, XR, 11 series, and some iPads and Apple Watches. SecureROM is built into the chip and cannot be fixed via software updates, leaving affected devices permanently vulnerable.
