Qualcomm Splits Flagship Chip Into Two 2nm Models

Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and standard Gen 6 at its Maui summit, both built on a 2nm process by TSMC. The Extreme chip offers 13% faster CPU, 44% faster GPU and 35% faster NPU over last year's Gen 5, while the standard chip gets smaller gains. HONOR, Xiaomi, Motorola and others will ship phones using the chips.
