21 Countries, EU Seek Frontier AI Oversight

The Dutch government released a joint statement from leaders of 21 countries and the European Commission calling for mandatory pre-release testing of frontier AI models and a possible new international supervisory body. Signatories include Germany, Canada, Australia and Singapore. The US, China, UK, France, Japan and India did not sign. It lands a day before a UN Security Council session on AI.
