Jio Opposes TRAI 80% Network Slicing Threshold

Reliance Jio has asked TRAI to withdraw proposed 5G network slicing restrictions, arguing that an 80% Physical Resource Block utilisation threshold does not reliably indicate congestion. In September 15 counter-comments, Jio said high utilisation can coexist with rising throughput on Massive MIMO radios, and warned that mandatory capacity augmentation or customer alerts could trigger false congestion warnings and unnecessary investment.
