Claude to start watermarking AI-generated content

Anthropic's Claude will watermark AI-generated content under the EU AI Act's Article 50(2) Code of Practice. Models launched in the EU on or after Aug. 2, 2026, support watermarking at launch, applying worldwide. Text gets embedded watermarks; files use C2PA metadata. Existing models will gain support later.
