TSMC adds advanced packaging plants in Chiayi

TSMC will build three advanced packaging facilities in Phase II of the Chiayi Science Park in southern Taiwan, National Science and Technology Council minister Wu Cheng-wen announced at a groundbreaking ceremony. The expansion targets demand for high-performance computing chips and CoWoS packaging, which has constrained AI accelerator supply for two years.
