GitHub Rewrites Copilot Runtime in Rust

GitHub has rewritten its Copilot agent runtime from TypeScript to over 800,000 lines of production Rust. The migration, completed primarily by a single developer using AI agents, improved performance by orders of magnitude and was shipped incrementally across 128 pull requests.
