China's CATL to offer battery swapping for Europe's electric trucks

CATL and Octopus Energy formed a 50-50 joint venture called Swaptopus to build a battery-swapping network for electric heavy-duty trucks across the UK and Europe. The first demonstration swap stations are expected to operate in the UK by 2027, with over 30 stations planned by 2035.
