VW Battery Plant in Canada Delayed to 2029

Volkswagen's PowerCo has pushed its Ontario battery plant back two years to 2029, citing tariffs and weak demand. The ID Buzz will also skip another US model year, returning as a 2028 vehicle. Meanwhile, PowerCo's Salzgitter plant in Germany has produced cells since December, supplying a new SEAT assembly line in Spain.
