BYD Promises Solid-State EV Battery by 2027

BYD executive vice president Stella Li says the company is in a leading position to commercialize solid-state batteries and will release its first car with the technology in 2027. The sulfide-based batteries promise longer range, faster charging and better safety, but high cost means they will debut in premium models before mass production around 2030.
