Fake 7-Zip Installers Create Proxy Botnet

A threat actor called Lurking Liking operates a residential proxy business using over 230 lookalike domains. The group lures victims with trojanized 7-Zip installers from 7zip.com, turning devices into proxy nodes. The campaign dates to at least August 2022 and also impersonates major proxy providers like IPIDEA and SmartProxy.
