Canada's $80B submarine race drives dealmaking blitz

Hanwha Ocean is bidding for an estimated $80-billion contract to build Canada's first new submarines in a generation. The South Korean shipbuilder plans to insert itself into major Canadian industrial policy issues, including the vacant GM CAMI plant in Ingersoll, Ontario, if it wins the contract.
