Ford Motor Co. fired electrician Kurt Kromm from the Kentucky Truck Plant over a $1.95 chocolate chip cookie. Kromm, a diabetic earning over $200,000 annually, was accused of stealing the cookie after a failed payment screen on a self-service kiosk during his overnight shift on May 9. He said he successfully paid on a second terminal.
