Apple Hit With $5.7 Billion Haptics Verdict

A federal jury in San Diego found Apple infringed two Taction Technology haptics patents and awarded more than $5.7 billion in damages. Taction sued in 2021 over vibration technology used in iPhones and Apple Watches. Apple won dismissal in 2023, but the Federal Circuit revived the case. Apple is expected to appeal the verdict.
