DoorDash Air Drone Delivery Pilot Launches

DoorDash unveiled its DoorDash Air drone and will start pilot deliveries in Northern California with Chipotle and Popeyes. The six-propeller aircraft has a winch, and about 80% of restaurant orders are light enough to fly. DoorDash holds Part 135 certification but cannot fly beyond visual line of sight, limiting it to short supervised hops.
