Ford Alliance Warns of 1.7M Trades Shortfall

Ford's Alliance for America's Skilled Trades, formed in July with BlackRock, Google and Carhartt, released a national report finding the U.S. will face 1.7 million skilled trades openings yearly through 2035, while training programs produce only 55 workers per 100 needed. Ford is funding Detroit auto tech pilots and Lyft rides for apprentices.
