Rivian owners sue over false promises on self-driving features

A class action lawsuit filed in California federal court alleges Rivian falsely promised first-generation R1T and R1S models would achieve Level 3 hands-free, eyes-off driving. The suit claims Rivian knew the Gen 1 vehicles could never deliver that capability through software updates. Rivian declined to comment.
