Physicists Create First Room-Temperature Quantum Material

LSU physicists led by Associate Professor Omar S. Magana-Loaiza developed the first room-temperature quantum material. Published in Nature, the material distinguishes and transports different quantum states of light. The work establishes a design principle for a new class of quantum materials, enabling advances in quantum computing, secure communications, sensing, and energy systems.
