All EU countries except Malta meet the bloc's fleet-based target for public EV charging capacity, according to new analysis by T&E. The EU had 1.1 million public chargers by end of 2025, five times more than in 2020. Most gaps in ultra-fast charger coverage along main roads are in Eastern EU countries and Spain.
