Rapidus to undercut TSMC on 2nm wafer pricing

Japanese chipmaker Rapidus plans to charge ¥3 million to ¥3.5 million ($18,550 to $21,635) per 2nm-class wafer at its 2027 launch, undercutting TSMC's rumored pricing. CEO Atsuyoshi Koike announced the strategy to lure customers with lower costs and a different service model.
