AI Suspicion Derails French Novelist's Prize

On September 21, Haitian-born Canadian writer Thelyson Orelien won the Prix du roman Fnac for his novel C'etait ca ou mourir. That same day, an anonymous X account claimed the book was AI-written, citing Pangram screenshots. The post hit three million views in two days. Orelien denies it, but La Presse's Pangram test scored 94 percent, while AFP's eight detectors disagreed.
