Meta halts worker tracking for AI training

Meta paused the Model Capability Initiative (MCI) program after employee backlash over tracking mouse clicks and keystrokes for AI training. The program, started two months ago, was halted Monday when some collected data became potentially accessible inside the company. Nearly 2,000 workers signed a petition demanding cancellation.
