Hyundai: Solid-State Cars Five Years Away, Costly

Hyundai R&D chief Manfred Harrer says small-volume solid-state halo cars will arrive within five years, but raw material costs will not fall in that time, keeping the tech out of ordinary cars. LG Energy Solution forecasts roughly a decade for electric cars, while ProLogium's French plant targets 4 GWh.
