Microsoft patched the LegacyHive Windows zero-day as CVE-2026-62832 in August Patch Tuesday updates. The flaw, disclosed by researcher Nightmare Eclipse, allows local attackers to gain administrator privileges via the Windows User Profile Service. ACROS Security released free unofficial patches on July 20 for Windows 10 2004 and later.
