Nintendo is evaluating a Switch 2 model with a 1920x1080 FHD rigid OLED panel from Samsung Display. Development could start by end of 2025 with mass production targeting late 2027 or early 2028. The upgrade is not guaranteed due to high OLED costs and rising semiconductor and memory prices.
