Floating Robot Companion for Safe Human Interaction

Researchers led by Mingyang Xu from Keio University, with MIT Media Lab, built a lighter-than-air floating robot with a soft body and fins. The robot glides silently without propellers, avoiding pinch points. A demo video shows it acting as a dance partner, study buddy, and alarm clock.
